Genestealers, and Clashing Armadas

I've had these done for a while, but I never got around to taking pictures of them.  I'll be honest, they were a bit of a rushed job.  I didn't find them all that entertaining to paint at all.  They're quite dull.  I slapped on the shades needed to get the skin done right and that's about it.  The actual carapace wasn't at all interesting, but there's where one can see clearly that I failed a bit.  You see, I totally didn't high light the edges!  Ah well.

Eldar Wraithlord, Completed

I've been holding onto this guy for a while.  Bought on November 5th, and bogged down with so many other things to do, it's taken me some time to get to this guy.  I've also finished 8 genestealers as well, but I've yet to get pictures of them to place up on this blog.  I'll do that, eventually.  Just need to bring my camera stand to work so I have a stable platform to take the shots needed.  I kind of wanted to show off the entirety of the two armies I have sitting there at my desk.

Anyhow, this one is finished.  Appologies for the crummy pictures, but the Norwegian light is all but gone these days and the clouds cover the skies often threatening to snow but never do.  When I get to Canada, I hope to have a proper light studio for this stuff!

DM-Inferno, Well On Its Way.

So here's the fourth map that I've put together that I'm getting ready to go through the final process of "Making it purdy."  It's gone through a play test, and if it survives the next play test with the flames included, then I'm going to start on the fun environmental stuff.  That means the detail meshes and proper lighting rather than the bland "I light everything" light that it has now.  So, give the video a look!

Another week, nothing to show.

I was afraid of this.  Week has passed and there's nothing to show for it.  Granted, did I post something to show last week?  I think I must have, it was the DM-Asian.  Well, here's the story behind this week.  Though I've have nothing to show for it, I've been working busily on producing the next deathmatch map in Unreal Tournament.  So it hasn't been without any effort at all.  Just keep in touch and I'll be showing some screenshots of that level at least fairly shortly.  They'll be small screenshots, as the level is rather unfinished!  But screenshots none the less.

I've been busy, I'm always busy.  I seem to lose so many hours in these things that it's kind of amusing, and sad?  I in fact, get lost in the day not even realizing what time it is once I get started on these things.  I feel slightly like a evil scientist in my basement lair, beneath a viking family!  Fear me, the alchemist of strange and wondrous oddities.  So with this update to my blog, I bring... DM-Asian.

Eldar Wraithlord.

First off, I'd like to say that I fixed the issue on my blog that didn't let people post at the bottom, so, please do! =)

So, over the past two weeks actually, I've been slowly trying to piece together an Eldar Wraithlord.  As stated in a previous post, a good friend is leaving us where I work and I thought this was likely the best gift I could give =)  Anyhow, it went to Graeme!

A Busy Week.

This week has been busy in other ways, and not in the good ways.  There's been little time for me to do what it is I want to do too.  Anyhow, this weekend, artistic endeavors slowly got back on track.  Due to the work issues, I've been slightly terrified and just kicked myself in the rear to get some training in Unreal Ed.  So, with that said, some of my artistic showing off may end up in the form of levels that I design.
